Description

The existing door plate has "let go" of the carpet and the carpet has started to fray. It is very obvious due to colour contrasts and primes viewers to notice the very poor state of the whole carpet.

Fix Instructions / Solution

Remove and reseat the door plate so that it covers the carpet edge properly, or replace it with a more appropriate Z-edge transition strip to manage the join from solid wood to squishy carpet floors.

The door plates installed throughout the house are for carpet-to-carpet transitions, which is why we're having problems with them.
